The Governance of Services of General Interest between State, Market and Society - The purpose of this interdisciplinary contribution is to provide an international discussion forum for PhD-students conducting research in the field of governance. Exploratory focus is the governance of services of general interest in the EU. This book is the result of an international PhD-workshop which gave the opportunity to discuss different theoretical approaches, to exchange empirical findings and experiences, and to establish new contacts among young researchers dealing with governance issues. Participants from various universities with a broad and interdisciplinary perception of governance including "public governance" as well as private or third sector "corporate governance" issues contributed to this fruitful discussion.
