Beschreibung

This book is a collection of authentic online practice-based inquiries completed and written by pre-service teacher-researchers during the 2021 COVID-19 lockdown. Through the voices of the teacher-researchers, readers are invited into the messy realities of how they navigated their practice on a changed platform, and how deliberate, focused, evidence-based inquiries are used to support teacher learning and teaching. The various chapters demonstrate how research-informed practice and the implementation of teaching interventions and documented learning moments empowered the pre-service teachers to create local knowledge that is pertinent to improving their practice. The ‘Teaching as Inquiry’ model used across New Zealand Schools forms the frame for the research approach used. This book provides preservice teachers and teachers with actual online-based research inquiries for the purpose of professional learning. It also highlights possibilities of documenting evidence-based practice to support pre-service teachers, beginning teachers, experienced teachers, and provides a platform for practitioners to share local knowledge of their practice with other classroom practitioners.
