Beschreibung

Adaptive radio transceivers require a comprehensive theoretical framework in order to optimize their performance. Adaptive Low-Power Circuits for Wireless Communications provides this framework with a discussion of joint optimization of Noise Figure and Input Intercept Point in receiver systems. Original techniques to optimize voltage controlled oscillators and low-noise amplifiers to minimize their power consumption while maintaining adequate system performance are also provided. The experimental results presented at the end of the book confirm the utility of the proposed techniques.

Design of Adaptive Circuits and Systems (RF Circuit Designers) Selection of Specifications for Receiver Circuits (RF System Designers) Description of Fundamental RF Circuits and Systems Phenomena (Students) Analysis of Adaptive Circuits and Systems (RF Circuits and Systems Researchers)

From the reviews:

"Tasic and colleagues (all, Delft Univ. of Technology, Netherlands) have as their objective the design of methodologies as well as proof of concept for radio frequency (RF) electronic integrated circuits that trade performance for power consumption in an adaptive way. … Written primarily as a resource for practicing engineers and graduate students majoring in electrical engineering. Numerous references. For libraries associated with academic programs in electrical engineering. Summing Up: Recommended. Upper-division undergraduates through professionals." (F. A. Cassara, CHOICE, Vol. 44 (10), June, 2007)
