This volume introduces us to the work of an artist who although well known, particularly for his successful film career, began working as a photojournalist. Saura has never abandoned photography and very often uses it as a support and complement to his films. A constant dialogue between what is his and what is not is clear in his work; images of his family life showing his children or his brother coexist with those of perfectly unknown people discovered by Carlos Saura in suburban trains.
