Carlos Serrano

Beschreibung

Carlos Serrano studied architecture in Madrid. His dedication to photography intensified from 1983 onward with his work on classical sculpture in which the borders of the sculpted stone blend into the surroundings and statues convey an illusion of movement, as if trying to escape the paper’s margins. His predilection for stone continues in other works on historical monuments in which he shows his ability to dynamise cold, inert objects.
