The 'Absinthe Glass' is often praised as one of Picasso's most important works and has given rise to many interpretations.
Here, we analyse the glass purely by morphological criteria. Based on the reconstruction analysis, the glass can be defined as a conceptual three-dimensional formulation, namely a direct translation of the two-dimensional glass formulations of Picasso's still lifes. It is important to emphasise the significance of the 'Absinthe glass' as the first conceptual, open and transparent sculpture of the last century!
