In-situ Analysis of Eleastic-Plastic Characteristics of Steel Sheets

The material behavior of industrial steel sheets can deviate strongly from existing assumptions of material theory. In this thesis, the material science fundamentals of elastic-plastic characteristics are analyzed using in-situ synchrotron diffraction experiments. The experimental approach was used to qualify a new determination of the onset of yielding and elastic modulus for material characterization, and to investigate anelastic behavior and the Bauschinger effect microstructurally.
