Beschreibung

The Biblical subject of tithing is quite delicate and controversial, especially, to the “New Wine Christian” (i.e. the contemporary Pentecostal/Charismatic Christian). However, it renders no reason for any believer to rebel, or rise against its authenticity and godly virtue. The contemporary Christian, as we understand, is not required to practice tithing by any means of coercion or command, as it was done under the dispensational period of the law. Conversely, the faith-filled Christian is expected to act positively on his or her own faith, to show reverence and prudence towards the immutable ordinances of God and be altruistic and munificent in all acts of faith. Tithing, in this dispensational period of grace, is to be practiced solely, with a well nurtured and balanced spiritual cognition. A mind, emancipated from obsolete legalities and human traditions. The law, as we understand, is no longer our tutor but faith through grace. Consider the following epigrams: • Your tithe is your golden key to unlock the windows of heaven. • Your offering influences God to pour out blessings. • If what you have in hand is too small to meet your needs, just sow it. • Your tithe holds the devourer tight. • Don’t eat the tithe, learn to diet. • Choose one: “tithe and offerings” or “tears and sufferings.” • Bring the tithes, or continue buying tyres. • When you are tight, still tithe.
