Beschreibung

Wuxing Yangsheng Gong presents a contemporary Daoist Qigong system for “nourishing life,” rooted in the Five Phases (Five Elements). Developed by Abbot Li Hechun, this practical guide offers two complete exercise sequences with clear visuals, meridian and acupoint references, and foundations in Daoist cultivation and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ideal for Qigong teachers, dedicated practitioners, and health professionals seeking structured methods for balance, resilience, and modern health needs.

Wuxing Yangsheng Gong – Exercises for Nourishing Life according to the Five Phases of Transformation by Li Hechun

From 2016 to 2019, Abbot Li Hechun visited Germany each autumn for several weeks to instruct in the practices of Wuxing Yangsheng Gong. The explanations of these exercises’ fundamentals, their step-by-step descriptions, and accompanying photographs all took shape during these seminars.

The book Wuxing Yangsheng Gong is conceived as a practical guide to the exercises. It functions both as instructional material for beginners and as a companion for deepening one’s personal practice, with a focus on visual illustrations and detailed, step-by-step exercise breakdowns.

The practices of Wuxing Yangsheng Gong are closely tied to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, particularly the Five Elements (Five Transformative Phases). These exercises seek to ground the practitioner, emphasizing symmetry, inner stillness, and stability. They involve gathering the body’s inherent energies, channeling them into powerful, dynamic movements, and ultimately consolidating and storing them.

Preceding the exercise section is a foreword by Abbot Li Hechun, alongside autobiographical reflections that chronicle his Daoist life path and honor the masters who have profoundly influenced him – enriched by numerous Daoist quotations. The book also includes the original Chinese text.
