As part of the “Hildesheimer Finanz-, Wirtschafts- und Währungsgespräche” (Hildesheim Financial, Economic and Monetary Talks), Jean-Claude Trichet will answer questions on topics including personal reviews, the euro crisis and its lessons, as well as the future of the euro.

Jean-Claude Trichet
Former President of the European Central Bank (2003-2011), Honorary Governor of Banque de France (1993-2003). Honorary Chairman of the Group of Thirty (Washington), of the Bruegel Institute (Brussels) and of the European Group of the Trilateral Commission. Jean-Claude Trichet was President of SOGEPA (Societé de Gestion de Participations Aéronautiques) (2012-2018). He was elected Chairman of the French “Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques” in 2023. M. Trichet is “Grand Officier” of the Légion d’Honneur (France) and Grand Cross 1st Class of the Order of Merit in Germany. He was awarded many other honors. M. Trichet published several books and many articles and academic lectures on money, finance and economics.
