Summer on the Subway

Beschreibung

„Summer on the Subway" ist eine ungeschnittene Geschichte des Erwachsenwerdens in einem Jahrzehnt des Klimawandels, einer Pandemie und des Krieges. Durch Gedichte versucht es zu verstehen, was es bedeutet, ein Mensch zu sein, und dokumentiert den Weg zwischen den Regentropfen des Selbst und der Welt, die es umgibt. Die Zeit verliert sich zwischen dem Moment, in dem man in den Zug steigt, und der Haltestelle, heiß und hell wie der Sommer und gleichzeitig kalt und dunkel wie die Tunnel. "Summer on the Subway" is an uncut coming of age story, in a decade of climate change, a pandemic and war. Through poems it tries to understand what it means to be human and document the walk between raindrops of the self and the world that surrounds it. Time loses itself between the moment you step on the train, and your stop, hot and bright like summer and cold and dark as the tunnels at once.

Sophia Alexandra ist in Geschichten und Farben zu Hause, so lange sie denken kann. Sie wuchs zwischen Deutschland, Bulgarien und beiden US-Küsten auf. Nach ihrem Psychologiestudium begann sie, für den Film zu entwerfen und hat in verschiedenen Positionen an unabhängigen Projekten und Großproduktionen gearbeitet. Poesie war schon immer ihre emotionale Sprache und Englisch diejenige, in der sie sich am wohlsten fühlt.
