David Vance ist in erster Linie Künstler, der seinem Schaffen mittels Fotografie Ausdruck verleiht. Zwölf der schönsten Bilder des weltberühmten Fotografen sind in diesem Kalender versammelt. Auf seine ganz eigene Weise gibt uns David Vance seine Sicht auf Gefühle preis: „Als Schönheitsfanatiker bin ich gewissermaßen gezwungen, schöne Dinge zu fotografieren. Sobald ich Schönheit in etwas entdecke, will ich es mit der Welt mitteilen – aus meiner Perspektive, so wie ich es erfahren habe.“ Vances Fotos sind inspiriert von den großen Starfotografen George Hurrell, Richard Avedon und Irving Penn, deren Einflüsse er in seinen eigenen Arbeiten übersetzt: sinnlich, emotionsgeladen und wunderschön. The painting, the sculpture, the music and the literature of his world exposed him at an early age to the classics in observing life. He sees beauty through the eyes of his ancestors and creates beauty in their same vision. Although during his forty-year career he has had commercial success in advertising, editorial and portrait photography, shooting campaigns and photographing celebrities, at his core is the heart and sensibility of an artist.
