The steel industry has an important role in the world economy and due to its connection with the other economic sectros is known as a leading industry of each country. The production and consumption of steel is a measure of the development of a country and is a stimulus for other economic sectors. The crude steel is mainly produced using three different processes: Oxygen-blown converter (BOF), electric arc furnace (EAF), and open hearth furnace (OHF). In recent years, due to the advantages of steel production in the electric arc furnaces in comparison to other steel production routes, the tendency for steel production in electric arc furnace (EAF) is distinguished from other methods.
