This research suggests the following criteria for future space planning methods. First, planning should take place at a high level of detail in order to avoid simplification of planning problems. Second, a system should be developed in such a way that new aspects can be easily integrated, enabling rapid creation of predictions about their effectiveness and disturbances. Third, the experience and knowledge of the planners and the application of such experience and knowledge in the context of planning and coordination should be formalized. They are up to now neither systemized nor formalized. Intensive field investigations at different construction sites must be undertaken in order to capture significant parameters for project production planning and work coordination at the execution level.
