Within the scope of this work, data fusion algorithms wre developement in order to fuse data sets obtained in the form and diameter measurements of cylindrical form metrology. After data fusion, the 3D form of a measured cylinder workpiece was reconstructed. In this process, it was possible to determine the radius of any position on the cylinder with respect to the fusion result. Most importantly, data fusion reduced the redundancy of fusion materials and was able to improve their accuracy, i.e., for obtaining the fused Point cloud with enhanced accuracy. This is benefecial for metrological applications.
