At Lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan

In 1997 a friend of mine working for a development company invited me to Kyrgyzstan, a couple of years before the former soviet republic was released towards an uncertain future. As a photojournalist I was mainly interested in people’s life and their expectations of the future. I came back with 28 portraits and interviews of people living around Lake Issyk Kul in the Kyrgyz mountains. 10 years later and again this summer, I tried to meet these humans again. I found many of them, took again their picture and an interview. After all this work over 20 years I would like to meld these human histories in one single book, your support will help me to accomplish this project.
