The book introduces the reader to the work of horse loggers, provides facts and reasons for the (modern) use of horses in the forest. In several chapters it shows examples on how horses nowadays can be used successfully in practice. The book gives beginners and newcomers instructions and tips on how to take first steps safely with your own horse in the forest. It informs about the necessary equipment, explains the different work processes and techniques and shows all potential uses of horses in forestry.
