The Nuosu who count more than 2,000,000 people live in the south of Sichuan province and form the largest component of the Yi nationality. The Nuosu lived in relative isolation for centuries and had few contacts with the Chinese before 1950, which is reflected by the low number of Chinese loanwords. For 36 places in Israel, we have selected Bible verses from the Nuosu New Testament (2nd edition) published in 2009 that mention these places. The verses can be played by clicking the callouts on the interactive map which can be accessed at http://www.rflr-bible.org/nuosu/bible-maps/israel/.
