Christianity is now a world religion. The African population has Christian majority. The Bible has become the reference book for many Africans and God’s authoritative word for African Christians in beliefs and practices. However, African Christians do not seem to read the Bible carefully to learn from what it says to them.
The content of this book is a reading of some Old Testament texts that addresses some of the problems facing the African continent. It is a collection of six of the articles of the author in various journals. They are brought together to enable students of the Bible and Bible believers in general have access to them in one source.

Yaw Adu-Gyamfi
Yaw Adu-Gyamfi (PhD, University of Sheffield) is an Associate Professor of Old Testament studies. Currently his research area is Old Testament texts and Africa. He is serving as the Dean of Humanities and the Head of Department of Theology at the Christian Service University College in Kumasi, Ghana and founder of the Centre for the Bible, Theology and Public Affairs at the Christian Service University College. He is the past President of the Ghana Baptist University College in Kumasi, Ghana and an ordained minister of the Ghana Baptist Convention and the Senior Pastor of Believers Baptist Temple in Kumasi. He is married to Victoria and they have four adult children.
