Mangroves are critical ecosystems providing a variety of goods and services that benefit people and nature.They are however undervalued and mostly ignored in planning processes which accelerates decline in cover. This policy brief informs decision makers on the need to incorporate material and intangible values to mangrove and presents key findings of a study on socioeconomic role of mangroves and the governance framework in Mozambique.
