Natural heritage in the Baltic Sea Region.

Within the EU-project “PARKS & BENEFITS” the Association for Sustainable Mobility (VCD Nordost) and the University of Roskilde have analyzed the sustainable mobility and barrier-free accessibility of eight nature protected areas in the Baltic Sea Region. The study carries out the terms of international standards and best practices in protected areas. For each Nature Park of the project one can find an analysis of public transport systems due to the problem of visitor management, carrying capacity and accessibility for all.
In Rahmen des EU-Projekts „Parks and Benefits“ hat der Landesverband Nordost des Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD, www.vcd-nordost.de) gemeinsam mit der Universität Roskilde Möglichkeiten für nachhaltige und barrierefreie Mobilität in Naturschutzgebieten der Ostseeregion untersucht. Die Voraussetzungen für umweltverträglichen Naturtourismus im Ostseeraum, mögliche Leitbilder und Fallstudien zu acht Schutzgebieten erschienen nun in der Edition KLAK Kulturlandschaft.
