The purpose of this article is to identify the strategic problems cool chain logistics service providers faced. To achieve the results, two scientific instruments, Porters Five Forces and Pestle Analysis are used in the identification of the strategic problems by grouping the relevant information found from sources such as books, newspapers and journals on cool chain logistics under the elements of the two instruments. The results indicates that there exist strategic problems for the cool chain logistics service providers; with some of the strategic problems being the continuous increase of regulations of temperaturecontrolled goods and rapid changes in the technologies used. However, further studies have to be conducted in order to identify the extent or degree of the strategic problems.
