Let me introduce you to my novel’s sister: A poetry collection that is referenced frequently in “One Hell of a Girl.”
I would like to let this one speak for itself. No, this is not laziness but creative freedom. Gimme a break… There’s so much angst-sweat, blood, and—you guessed it—tears that sit at the bottom of every page and look up in nothing but hope. I don’t know if my poetry is original enough, but it took all of me (and then some!) to commit these storms of thoughts to paper.
Here lies the body of work about lots of brittle bitterness, love, and foul forgiveness. Yada, yada, yada!! As I said; gonna let “Triggered, green” do the talking. It does it both cruelly and wonderfully!

River is a young author and activist from the Eifel region. She gained recognition through the publication of her debut novel and several poetry collections, as well as through her involvement in mental health self-help. Even during her youth, she suffered from various mental illnesses that severely limited her daily life for years. Myra Abel processes her experiences under the pen name “River” and in June 2026 published a novel and three poetry collections through her own publishing house. In 2024, she founded the self-help group “Kopfkino” to help others in similar situations. Her story and creative approach to dealing with the illness were brought to the attention of a wide audience through media reports by WDR and Tagesschau, among others.
