This poetry collection was a Christmas gift for my ex-best friend five fucking years ago. Five and a half. We’re no longer talking. Anyway, back to more professional matters. Kids, I’ll say it again: This is what happens when u are too afraid of rejection and failure and procrastinate the living shit out of your artistry!
Anyhoo, “Threatened by round Shapes” offers a range of poem-virgins. I even left the grammatical errors in there for authenticity. It all contains but a good dozen different themes sprawled out across, yes, more than 120 poems.
Attention! I wrote these when I was both literally and legally a CHILD. Some people might say it would be foolish to publish work that the author can’t identify with anymore, but that means: shame. And I fucking can stand it no longer!!! I hug it now! I shall feel nothing but kindness for my own “cringe.” And so should you. Maybe, this book can serve as a pillow. One will surely need to rest when taming that dragon of a feeling. <3
