Documentation of a very successful touring exhibition showing Thuringian monuments of all kinds in pictures and verbal explanations. Text English
The exhibition "Preservation for the Present and Future" by Thuringian Administrative Office for the Preservation of Monuments has been shown with great visitor response not only in Thuringia but also in numerous cities in the Federal republic and abroad. With this exhibition the Office would like to stimulate broad public interest in and understanding for monument preservation and protection. It provides a reliable orientation for the practical implementation of the idea of monument preservation, forms impressions of the work o regional monument preservation and shows last but not least the abundance of monuments in Thuringia in a clever image-text layout. This approach also was chosen for the book "Monuments in Thuringia". It presents Thuringian monuments of all kinds with colourful pictures and explanatory information. Main point was to choose a well-balanced spectrum in subject, regional and building year matters.
