Karin Baltisberger, born in 1983, is a Swiss entrepreneur, yoga instructor, and former communications executive. She began her career in journalism, working as a reporter, online editor, and free-lance local journalist. She gained significant experience in journalism, notably serving as the news chief of the Blick Group. In 2015, she transitioned to corporate communications, leading the corporate communications department at Mobiliar Insurance and becoming a member of the executive board. During her tenure at Mobiliar, Baltisberger played a pivotal role in modernizing the company's communication strategies. She introduced one of Switzerland's first corporate newsrooms, revamped social media communications, launched a digital strategy communication, and renewed the intranet system. After serving as head of corporate communications, she decided to focus entirely on digital business, overseeing online sales, performance marketing, and digital content. In 2016, amid her demanding corporate career, Baltisberger discovered yoga, which helped her reconnect with her body and recharge her energy. She became a yoga teacher and began creating stick-figure sequences to prepare her classes, sharing them on Instagram under the account Yoga Journaling. The account rapidly gained popularity, amassing over 100,000 followers within a short period. In 2023, she founded Yoga Journaling, a company offering various yoga resources, including books, cards, magnets, stickers, and posters, all designed to support yoga practitioners and teachers. Her mission is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable, helping individuals integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. Baltisberger is fluent in English, French, German, and Swiss German. She has completed over 1,000 hours of yoga training in disciplines such as Hatha/Vinyasa, Myofascial Integrated Alignment, Yin Yoga, Pilates, Handstand, Yoga Nidra, and teaching yoga to beginners. Her journey from corporate leadership to yoga entrepreneurship exemplifies her adaptability and commitment to personal well-being and the well-being of others.
