First monograph dedicated to the Danish artist (*1966), whose paintings borrow from the 19th-century Nordic tradition, "magical realism" of the inter-war period, and comic books from the 1960s. Passing easily from one mode of expression to the other (poetry, painting, music), the artist deploys a form of complex allegory to which there is no real equivalent on the contemporary art scene. * * Focused around the series of paintings (2002–2006) and the exhibition "The Face of God" at BFAS Blondeau Fine Art Services, Geneva. * * Published with the support of BFAS Blondeau Fine Art Services, Geneva, and Nils Staerk Contemporary Art, Copenhagen.
