Ingmar Björn Nolting's series “Eviction” depicts the occupation of the village of Lützerath, which was demolished in 2023 to make way for lignite mining. He sees a part of the solution for climate-change in a resistant and solidarity-based way of life that defies powerful corporations and state repression.
“Eviction” is presented as part of the exhibition “Project Groundswell – Visions for Climate Protection.” The exhibition and accompanying publications address the global challenge of climate catastrophe while highlighting solutions to multiple crises. Supported by Creative Europe, the project uses the expressive power of film and photography to present possible solutions to climate protection issues.
