This study as illustration of the Shiite “Historical thinking” is not exclusively concerned with the narration of historical events, but also does not want to be understood merely as a narration of sense. It is mainly about the historical dimension and, above all, about the historical thinking of Islam. “History” is widely regarded as a central aspect of Islamic thought as a whole and brings with it a historical research area that focuses on both theological and cultural areas in a religious context: “Historical thought”. The “historical thinking” of Shia Islam, which itself is in the light of the Quran, aims to show the causes of negative and positive developments, which helps us to shape our lifestyle. With topics such as: “The deep sense of history”, “the Lord of history”, “the goal of history”, “historical scheme of choosing”, “the Messages of history”, “history and identity”, “history as/and hermeneutics”, “future in the light of the expectation of Imam Mahdi (a)”, “the Man of the Future”, “Shiite expectation theology”, “expectation and responsibility”, “inculturation of the expectation discourse”, “international dimension of expectation”, “expectation in a socio-political context”.
“History” is widely regarded as a central aspect of Islamic thought as a whole and brings with it a historical research area that focuses on both religious and cultural areas in a religious context: “Historical thought”. It is of great importance within Shia Islam and is treated with great vitality and passion. It could easily be interpreted as meaning that Shia Islam allows fact-oriented research into reports to take a back seat in favor of religious doctrine and parables. But it is precisely the examination of one’s own developmental history that is of essential importance, so that it should be conveyed with the same liveliness that is easily inherent in every other cultural area. Shiite historical thinking collects and gathers the perspectives and dimensions that are possible in terms of content, and according to analyses, this gives a living idea of it, which shapes our present, gives us orientation in life and determines our future. It does not speak of election myths, but of the faith of election that is to be realized in life to pave the way to salvation for people, namely “the straight path”.

• Prof. Dr. Hamid Kasiri (Amin-ul-Islam Mazandarani) is a Muslim theologian of the Shia tradition and a renowned international scholar who, during his studies of Islamic and Christian theology and the Shia and Catholic doctrines - deals with transcultural, intercultural and interreligious dialogue and the theology of religion. Born 1964 in Mazandaran/Iran. 1970-1982 Primary and secondary school. 1982-1991 Basic study of philosophy and Islamic theology at the Islamic University in Qum. M. A. Studied clinical psychology at the University of Tehran. 1991-1997 Postgraduate studies of the highest-level jurisprudence and philosophy of jurisprudence, Quranic exegesis and Theognostik (Islamic mysticism). 1997-1999 Research Assistant for Religious Studies. 1997-2004 Doctoral program of Catholic Theology. 2009-2013: “Senior Postdoc” Habilitant at the University of Vienna. Project: “Non-Violence Hermeneutics”. In 2011 he was recognized for his academic qualities as a “scientific exceptional personality” in Austria. His was also appointed as the “Ambassador of Peace” (2010). His careers include several theories, book series and his monographs on Islamic sciences at universities are now considered as classics. He is the founder and owner of “ILogos International Publications” in Vienna/Austria.
