In our every day life we are surrounded by Digital Stories that have all been created in different areas and for different purposes. But what exactly is Digital Storytelling and why is it this new medium that seems to be so fascinating and attractive especially to teachers and learners? This thesis claims to find answers to this by looking at how the self does play a role within a story. By using two different concepts of Self Representation rooting in psychology and sociology, one Digital Story – that has been created for the purpose of teaching and learning – is looked at in great detail.
