This publication is designed for organists who wish to integrate the latest research in historical performance practice into their playing. It seeks to assist the player in converting the research on historical performance practice into playing which is valid in today’s context. The 2nd Part of the organ school to historical performance practice discusses the interpretation of organ music in Germany and France in the period from 1800 to 1930.

Jon Laukvik
Jon Laukvik is a Norwegian organist. Laukvik studied church music, organ and piano in Oslo. Afterwards he worked with Michael Schneider and Hugo Ruf in Cologne and Marie-Claire Alain in Paris. 1980 he was appointed professor of organ at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. 2001 he was appointed professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Since 2003 he is also guest professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
