Multidimensional Impacts of Climate Change and Climate Variability on Farming Systems in Pakistan

This dissertation explores the impacts of climate change and variability on Pakistani farming systems in multidimensional perspectives. Specifically, it investigates the economic and agronomic impacts of medium-term climate variability and heat stress on rice-wheat systems and farmland values in Pakistan. In addition, it investigates the potential of a crop insurance market and the drivers of farmers’ willingness to pay insurance premiums. It comprises six chapters in total, out of which are four empirical papers.
