Sequential Dimension Reduction and Prediction Methods with High-dimensional Microarray Data

Beschreibung

The book presents a new dimension reduction and classification method for analysing microarray data. The new approach, called the k-SS method, properly identifies and selects the relevant genes chips whose expression profiles are correlated with the existing sub-cancer classes of the mRNA samples. The appropriateness of the method is demonstrated on eleven published microarray data sets.
