Concrete drilling and sawing companies as well as granite and marble machining businesses are facing increasing demands for their products and services. In order to maintain competitiveness, the further development of the production processes is of great importance. Therefore, knowledge about the potential of current manufacturing and machining processes is required in order to provide the basis for the future technological development. This conference addresses professionals from industry and universities to present and discuss latest developments around the machining of natural stone and construction materials using advanced tool systems and machining strategies. There will be an award for the best paper presented by the organizing committee. The conference is organized by the Institute of Materials Engineering (LWT) of the TU-Dortmund, the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) Hannover, the Institute of Materials Technology (LWT) of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and hosted by the Institute for Research and Transfer (RIF e.V.).
Conference Topics:
·Machining of natural stone (e.g. granite, marble)
