The European Symposium on Comminution and Classi?cation (ESCC) is initialized by the
working party of Comminution and Classi?cation from the EFCE (European Federation of
Chemical Engineering) with its current chair Professor Dr.-Ing. Arno Kwade. The series of
symposia started in Frankfurt in 1962 and is taking place in Braunschweig in 2013 for the
13th time.
The conference is focused on the following themes:
- Processing of primary and secondary materials, especially minerals and ores
- Grinding, dispersing and classi?cation of ?ne particles, particularly in pharmaceutical,
chemical and electronic industries
- Fundamentals, modelling and simulation of particle breakage as well as of grinding and
classi?cation processes
- New and non-classical applications as well as new developments of milling machines
and mill periphery
