Co-Channel Interference (CCI) cancellation is a major problem in nowadays communication systems. It arises whenever multiple users transmit with spectral and temporal overlap. This dissertation addresses in particular how CCI can be avoided in network planning, mitigated by intelligent waveform design and cancelled by state-of-the art interference cancellation techniques. The focus is on CCI cancellation.
