The systematic investigations into the forming behaviour and component properties of a new material system open up new and sustainable solutions for SMEs for intelligent lightweight construction and its implementation.
In order to realistically evaluate the lightweight material system developed, a demonstrator component was produced on a real scale, in which the original aluminum alloy and lubrication were replaced by a new type of
cold-formable magnesium sheet alloy.
