Many Asian countries are undergoing rapid economic growth and social transformation. Industrialization of these countries has caused increasing concern over sustainability management issues. As a result, industry and business are called upon to act responsibly for the protection of the natural environment and the cohesion of society. Due to historical experience, EU countries are actively engaged in sustainability management. They may therefore play an important role in promoting new management concepts and perspectives of sustainability along with their investments in Asia.
