Beschreibung

Many Asian countries are undergoing rapid economic growth and social transformation. Industrialization of these countries has caused increasing concern over sustainability management issues. As a result, industry and business are called upon to act responsibly for the protection of the natural environment and the cohesion of society. Due to historical experience, EU countries are actively engaged in sustainability management. They may therefore play an important role in promoting new management concepts and perspectives of sustainability along with their investments in Asia. In line with the concept of the Euro-Asia Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, this book contains the Society and Tourism management session of the Proceedings of the 6th Euro-Asian Conference, held in Istanbul, Turkey in March, 2010 (Part II). The book covers 25 papers on corporate social responsibility, tourism management and education. As a pioneering work about Euro-Asian cooperation on issues of environmental and social responsibility, this book may become a guideline for responsible future business operation. It deserves careful reading and should find numerous readers.
