Radionuclides in Ground-level Air in Braunschweig

Beschreibung

The activity concentrations of the anthropogenic radionuclide 137Cs and of some natural radionuclides (7Be, 22Na, 40K, and 210Pb) contained in Braunschweig's ground-level air were determined by y-ray spectrometry. In collaboration with the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS), Freiburg, the mean weekly activity concentrations of the noble gas isotopes 85Kr and 133Xe were measured. The activity concentration of 90Sr, 238Pu and (239+240)Pu in quarterly air-dust samples were determined and mean monthly and mean annual activity concentrations were calculated.
