Since more than a decade, organ transplantation has become more or less practical routine. At the same time the shortage of organs was discussed around the world. Policy, ethical and legal debates tend to centre on fairness of allocation rules or alternatives to promote greater number of donations. The idea and certain beliefs about the use of bodily materials are very controversy discussed among the society, and they are strongly linked to social and cultural believes. We can consider the high standard of law also for Turkey. A country which has a long ancient tradition in medicine and medical ethics. In it we find the first contribution in the series which is coming from an Islamic country. The Islam position on transplantation law is well described and the authors are referring to the relevant religious authorities. The second contribution from Turkey is focused on the new Turkish law on Clinical trials, discussing this hot issue from the legal and ethical point of view.
