The World Evangelical Alliance is the oldest Christian unity movement in the world. This book takes us on a journey through the eventful history of the Evangelical Alliance from its foundation in 1846 to its position today as a global evangelical umbrella organization with almost 150 national member alliances.
Frank Hinkelmann
Rev. Dr. Frank Hinkelmann is Professor at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania. He is also the Principal of Martin Bucer Seminary, a German based evangelical seminary.
For many years, Frank served in several leadership functions with Operation Mobilisation.
He is a passionate church historian, and his research focusses on the study of European evangelicalism. In addition to his academic work, Frank serves as vice chair on the International Council of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and on the board of the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE). He is the author of several books.
