The digital transformation has already changed the examination system and has reached a wide variety of areas. The project "The examination system in the digital transformation: status quo and development perspectives" dealt with the question of the current significance of digitalisation in the examination system and what support it can provide for the examination practice in the future in the period from 2019 to 2021. Practice-oriented research, development and support needs for the digitalisation of auditing were also to be identified. The objective of the project was to provide an initial overview of the current state of digitisation of the audit profession, to identify examples of good practice and to derive recommendations for further development. This publication presents the results of the project.
