Schools at the center of change
The book is part of current issues concerning the impact of social changes on the transformation of schools and describes the transformation process of schools in the light of the development of global society and current educational trends around the world. The monograph focuses on two different approaches: traditional and progressive, showing European schools in the processes of transformation towards a significant role of the student, learning and the growing importance of the competences of the future.

Katarzyna Potyrała, PhD, is Professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Philology at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, Poland. She is a specialist in ICT in education, didactic transformation and popularization of knowledge, education for sustainable development and health education as well as the formation in the area of cultural competences of the different groups of stakeholders, and teacher training in the face of social change.
