Jim Rose started teaching in 1980. Steve Elsworth started teaching English in 1977. Jim and Steve met in 1980. We started working together in 1992. We wrote a lot of books for Pearson Education. We travelled to 22 countries – Poland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile and many others. We talked to teachers and students, we visited classrooms and we gave more than 300 lectures and workshops for teachers. We are interested in simple ways of describing grammar.
