The machines designed with discovered slot-pole combinations can retain more percentage of post-fault torque whereas using a simple control strategy.
The machines also maintained acceptable performance in healthy operation.
The performance in one of the post-fault simple shutdown strategies is comparable to the complicated optimal current control strategy.
