In this work, the optimization-based model predictive control methods are applied as theoretical fundamental to handle the control problems of the torque vectoring function in the drive train system in electric vehicles. By means of diverse control methods, the parameter variation, system constraints as well as the non-linearities are well handled in this work. The entire system is validated on a HiL test bench. The results show a good compromise between robustness and optimality.
