The manufacture of aluminium sheet starts from direct chill casting, followed by homogenisation, hot rolling, cold rolling and annealing. Various phase transformations occur at different stages of the process, and play important roles in controlling the final properties of the products.
In the present work, phase transformation in work hardening wrought alloys was modelled for all stages of aluminium sheet production. The simulations were realised by the cooperation of these three models: an improved version of ClaNG, 3IVM+ and the so called BDS model (back diffusion solidification).
