Distributed Control of Interconnected Systems: Scalability of Synthesis and Implementation

Beschreibung

This thesis concerns the problem of distributed controller design for large-scale interconnected systems, with an emphasis on the scalability of the synthesis algorithm and the controller implementation. In this context, different state space approaches are investigated and extended. The resulting optimization problems, which generally are non-convex, are solved using convex restrictions or local optimization methods. While the considered systems are large-scale, they are also highly structured. This structure is exploited in order to reduce the computational complexity.
