Enhancing the Collaboration of Design and Simulation – Bridging Barriers in Technical Product Development

Beschreibung

While the number and complexity of mechanical simulations in technical product development increase, integrating simulations is still a challenge for many companies. The BRIDGES approach for Barrier Reduction in DesiGn Engineering and Simulation enables engineering companies to enhance the collaboration of design and simulation. Sets of typical collaboration barriers as well as recommendations for improvement measures to overcome them were formulated based on empirical studies. The approach is supplemented by a tool for structural collaboration analysis with network metrics.
