There is little doubt that high temperature superconductors will prove to be key materials for our future technological development. Yet a lot of research remains to be done in order to achieve a thorough understanding of the mechanisms by which they work.
At the Institute of Space Systems, University of Stuttgart, a relationship between the crystal structure of these materials and their critical temperatures has been developed over the last few years.
Expanding on that, this work examines the question of whether a similar relationship exists between the critical magnetic fields of high temperature superconductors and their defining geometrical parameters.
